1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines conduct that is prohibited on the Services. It protects the integrity of TraIDCred's verification program, the safety of Users, and the trust that Homeowners place in Public Profiles. Violating this AUP may result in the actions described in the Account Suspension & Termination Policy and, where applicable, the Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not submit, upload, or display through the Services any Content that:
(a) is forged, altered, falsified, or materially misleading, including any Credential that is not genuine, that has been edited to change its meaning, or that is presented as current when it is expired, revoked, cancelled, or not in force;
(b) is not yours or that you are not authorized to submit, including another person's or business's license, insurance certificate, or identity documents;
(c) infringes any intellectual-property, privacy, or other right of a third party; or
(d) is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise violates applicable law.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
(a) impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, licensing, insurance, certifications, or qualifications;
(b) create or manage a Public Profile for a business you do not own or are not authorized to represent;
(c) misuse verification status or the Badge, including displaying a status you do not hold or implying a guarantee, endorsement, certification, warranty, or recommendation that does not exist (see the Verification Badge Usage Policy);
(d) use the Services to harass, threaten, defraud, or harm any person, or to send spam or unsolicited communications through any Service-enabled contact feature; or
(e) use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
4. Platform integrity and security
You must not:
(a) scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically collect Public Profiles or other data except as expressly permitted;
(b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
(c) circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature, access control, Access Grant, token, or rate limit, or attempt to access any account, document, or data you are not authorized to access;
(d) introduce malware or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services; or
(e) manipulate, inflate, or falsify analytics, Verification Completion, achievements, or any metric, including by artificial views, scans, or automated activity.
5. Document Access
Profile Viewers granted Document Access must use the accessed document solely to evaluate the relevant Tradesperson and must not copy, store beyond the access period, redistribute, publish, or misuse it.
6. Reporting and responsible disclosure
6.1 To report abuse, misuse, or inaccurate information, contact support@traidcred.com.
6.2 Responsible disclosure. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to security@traidcred.com and give TraIDCred a reasonable opportunity to respond before public disclosure. Please do not access, modify, or delete data that is not yours, degrade the Services, or use the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to demonstrate it. TraIDCred will not pursue or support legal action against good-faith security research that follows this Section and applicable law.
7. Enforcement
Violations may result in Content removal, status revocation, Badge-license termination, Account suspension or termination, and referral to authorities, as described in the Account Suspension & Termination Policy and the Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy. TraIDCred may act to protect the Services and Users.
8. Governing law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Utah and is subject to the governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions of the Terms of Service.
