What does "verification" actually mean here?
When you upload a credential, a person on our team reviews it to confirm it appears to be the document type you claim and appears valid and unexpired as of the review date. A "Verified" status is an honest record of that review — it is not us guaranteeing, certifying, or endorsing you or your work, and we do not confirm your documents with the state or your insurer. Point-in-time review, nothing more.
What documents do I provide?
It depends on the credential. Common ones are a business license, general liability insurance, workers' compensation, and optionally a W-9, OSHA certificate, or other trade documents. Each is reviewed on its own. You can hold multiple business licenses (one per jurisdiction, each with its own label and status).
What happens during review?
You upload a document; it shows as submitted, then "Under Review" while we look at it; then it becomes Verified, or Rejected if it's the wrong type, unreadable, expired, or looks invalid. Business License, General Liability, and Workers' Comp all being Verified and unexpired is what we call "Fully Verified."
What happens if a credential expires?
Its status changes to reflect that it's no longer current (for example, "Expired"), and it stops counting as Verified. You'll need to upload a current document to restore the status. Keep an eye on the expiration dates shown on your dashboard.
Why does keeping my information accurate matter?
Because homeowners rely on it, and because it's your obligation under our Terms. You must submit only genuine, current documents that belong to your business, and update or replace anything that expires or changes. Accurate credentials are the whole point — and inaccurate or misleading ones can get your status revoked or your account suspended.
How can verification be revoked?
We can decline to verify, or remove a "Verified" status, if a document looks invalid, expired, or inconsistent — or if you submit something forged, altered, or misleading. Depending on the situation we may also suspend or terminate the account (see the Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy and the Account Suspension & Termination Policy).
How do appeals work?
If you think a rejection, suspension, or revocation was wrong, email support@traidcred.com within 30 days. We'll review it in good faith and respond. Reinstatement may depend on fixing the underlying issue (for example, uploading a valid, current document).
How do subscriptions work?
TraIDCred's paid Services are offered through our Early Access Program. You choose a plan at checkout; there may be a one-time setup fee plus a recurring (for example, monthly) subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
How does billing work, and does it renew automatically?
Your subscription bills in advance each period and renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. If a payment fails, we may retry and, after a reasonable period, suspend or downgrade paid access. If a price will change, we give you advance notice first. See the Subscription & Billing Terms.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime in your account's subscription settings or by emailing support@traidcred.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. See the Subscription & Billing Terms.
Can I get a refund?
Recurring fees are generally non-refundable and we don't prorate partial periods — but, as an Early Access goodwill gesture, we'll refund your most recent charge if you ask within 14 days and haven't materially used the paid Services in that period. We also refund billing errors and prepaid amounts if we discontinue a paid Service. Full details, and your rights under law, are in the Refund Policy.
What about my privacy and my documents?
Your uploaded documents are private. Your public profile shows only status and basic details (credential type, status, expiration, last-reviewed date) — never the files, their contents, or sensitive data like tax or ID numbers. We ask you not to include a Social Security Number (use an EIN, or redact it). We don't sell your personal information. See the Privacy Policy.
Who can see my public profile?
Anyone with your profile link or QR code can see the public parts (your business name, trades, and your verification status). Rejected credentials are not shown publicly. If a homeowner needs to see an actual document, you can grant them time-limited, revocable access — you stay in control.
What is TraIDCred promising homeowners about me?
Nothing beyond an honest record of the documents we reviewed and when. We do not tell homeowners you are guaranteed, endorsed, or recommended — and neither should you (see the Verification Badge Usage Policy for how you may display your status). We also tell homeowners to do their own due diligence. This protects both of us.
