| Defined term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Company, TraIDCred, we, us, our | TraIDCred LLC, a Utah limited liability company that operates the TraIDCred platform, and its successors and assigns. |
| Services | The TraIDCred website(s), applications, APIs, and related services, including the creation, review, and display of Verified credential status and Public Profiles. |
| Platform | Synonym for the Services where context refers to the technical system. |
| User, you | Any person or entity that accesses or uses the Services in any capacity, including Tradespeople and Profile Viewers. |
| Tradesperson | A User who registers an Account to create, manage, and publish a Public Profile and submit Credentials. Also referred to as an Account Holder. |
| Account | A registered Tradesperson account on the Services. |
| Profile Viewer, Viewer | A User who views a Public Profile or requests Document Access, whether or not that User holds an Account. Includes a Homeowner. |
| Homeowner | A Profile Viewer who is a prospective or actual customer of a Tradesperson. Used where consumer-facing context is relevant. |
| License Qualifier, Invited Qualifier | An individual a Tradesperson identifies as the license qualifier for its contractor license, whom TraIDCred invites to voluntarily confirm or decline that relationship under the License Qualifier Authorization Terms. An Invited Qualifier is neither a Tradesperson nor a Profile Viewer, holds no Account by virtue of the invitation, and gains no membership in or authority over any business by completing the process. The process and its limits are defined in the Verification Standard's _License Qualifier Verification_ section (internal-only; never displayed publicly). |
| Public Profile, Profile | The publicly accessible TraIDCred page for a Tradesperson that displays non-sensitive credential status and metadata, reachable by link or QR code. |
| Credential | A document, certificate, or record a Tradesperson submits to the Services for review (e.g., a business license, insurance certificate, W-9, OSHA certificate, or other document). |
| Credential Type | A category of Credential defined in the Verification Standard (e.g., Business License, General Liability Insurance, Workers' Compensation). |
| Verification Standard | The document titled "TraIDCred — Verification Standard", as amended, which is the authoritative definition of what each Credential status means. |
| Verification / Verify / Verified / Under Review / Rejected / Expired / Verification Completion / Fully Verified | Have the meanings given in the Verification Standard and are used identically throughout the package. In summary, "Verified" means only that a TraIDCred reviewer examined a submitted Credential and determined it appears to be the claimed type and facially valid/unexpired as of the last-reviewed date — nothing more. No package document may expand these meanings. |
| Review | TraIDCred's examination of a submitted Credential to the standard set by the Verification Standard. As of the Effective Date, all Review is manual (performed by Company personnel); TraIDCred does not confirm Credentials with any issuing authority, insurer, or third party, except as the Verification Standard expressly states (Identity Verification via Stripe Identity, and the internal, never-displayed licensing-authority lookup used solely for License Qualifier Verification — which creates no public confirmation claim). |
| Content, User Content | Any information, documents, images, text, or other material a User submits to, or displays through, the Services, including Credentials and Profile information. |
| Document Access, Access Grant | A time-limited, revocable, token-gated permission that allows a specific Profile Viewer to view a specific Credential document, granted through the Services' access-request mechanism. |
| Badge | The TraIDCred verification badge, mark, logo, or status indicator, in any format. |
| Marks | TraIDCred's names, logos, Badges, and other trademarks and service marks. |
| Early Access, Early Access Program | The current, operational, paid release of the Services, which is fully usable but still evolving; features and verification processes may change during Early Access. |
| Subscription | A recurring paid plan for the Services (for example, billed monthly), governed by the Subscription & Billing Terms. |
| Stripe | Stripe, Inc., the third-party payment processor TraIDCred uses to process payments. TraIDCred does not collect or store full payment-card numbers. |
| Policies | The other documents in this package (e.g., the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Subscription & Billing Terms, Refund Policy, Verification Program Terms), each incorporated into the Terms of Service by reference. |
| Terms | The TraIDCred Terms of Service, together with the Policies. |
| Effective Date | For each document, the date it takes effect as stated at its top: policies are effective upon posting (the "Last updated" date); agreements you accept are effective upon your acceptance or first use of the Services. |
| Sensitive Credential Data | Information within a Credential that is personally sensitive, including government identification numbers, Social Security Numbers, Employer Identification Numbers, dates of birth, and (in future phases) identity-document images and background-check results. |
Interpretation
These rules apply to every document in the package.
- Verification language always defers to the Verification Standard. No document paraphrases
"Verified" in a way that strengthens it. Where any document and the Verification Standard could be read differently, the Verification Standard controls.
- "Includes" and "including" mean "including without limitation."
- Section references are internal to each document unless stated otherwise.
- The product may use different everyday names for a defined term. A Public Profile is shown
in the product as a Trust Profile (and, on the page itself, as a _Business Trust Profile_); they are the same thing, and the definition above governs.
