License Qualifier Authorization Terms

1. What this is

A business that uses TraIDCred told us that you are the license qualifier for its contractor license — in most licensing systems, the individual who demonstrated the competence (examination, experience, or both) under which the business holds its license. That business asked TraIDCred to request your confirmation.

These terms govern that one process — the qualifier authorization ceremony — and nothing else. They apply to you only if you choose to proceed.

2. Participation is voluntary — and declining is a first-class choice

You do not have to do any of this. You may:

• Decline — one action, no identity verification, no account, no consequence to you. We

record that you declined so the business cannot treat the unanswered request as your agreement, and we tell the business only that the request was declined — not why.

• Ignore the request — the invitation link expires on its own and nothing happens.
• Proceed — the steps in §3.

Declining or ignoring the request affects only the business's TraIDCred verification status. It has no effect on you.

3. What the ceremony is, step by step

1. Review. You are shown which business made the request, the license it concerns as

recorded with TraIDCred, and the name the business supplied for you.

1. Confirmation and consent. You confirm your own full legal name, affirm the statement in

§4, accept these terms, and consent to conducting this process electronically (see the E-Sign Consent, which is presented with these terms). A secure sign-in (email and password) is created at this step so that your verification and your authorization belong to you permanently — see §8 for exactly what that sign-in is and is not.

1. Biometric notice and release, then identity verification. Before any verification

begins, you are shown a separate Biometric Information Notice and asked for your own affirmative written release (a dedicated, never pre-checked control), and you acknowledge the Identity Verification Notice. Only then do you verify your identity with Stripe Identity on Stripe's own pages: a government photo ID and a live selfie, which Stripe compares using biometric technology. No verification session is created until your release has been recorded — see §6.

1. Final authorization. After your identity is verified, you are shown the complete

authorization text rendered with your verified legal name, and you choose whether to electronically sign it. Nothing is signed on your behalf: if you never click, no authorization exists.

1. Comparison. TraIDCred compares your verified identity, your authorization, the

information the business provided, and the qualifier information shown on the licensing authority's public record as of the date it was recorded. Legitimate name differences (for example a middle name appearing on one record and not another) are routed to human review — never silently rejected and never silently merged.

4. What you are confirming

The affirmation you make at step 2 (before identity verification) is, in substance:

I am the person this request was addressed to, I am the license qualifier for the named business, and I authorize TraIDCred to verify my identity through Stripe Identity and to compare it against licensing-authority information for this purpose.

The final authorization you may sign at step 4 (after identity verification) confirms the same relationship over your verified legal name and states its own limits: it speaks as of the date you sign it, it is prospectively revocable, and it creates no rights in, obligations to, or authority over the business's TraIDCred account.

Make these statements only if they are true. TraIDCred records what you affirm; it does not verify licensing law for you, and a false statement is yours, not ours.

5. What completing this does NOT do

Completing the ceremony does not:

• create a TraIDCred customer, business, or member account for you;
• make you an owner, member, manager, or representative of the business on TraIDCred;
• give you access to the business's TraIDCred dashboard, documents, or billing;
• give the business any authority over you, or you any authority over the business;
• publish your name, your email address, or the qualifier relationship anywhere —

the qualifier relationship is internal to TraIDCred's review and is not displayed publicly;

• constitute a license, an appointment, or any determination by any licensing authority; and
• create any determination by TraIDCred of anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance,

housing, or employment. TraIDCred does not use the ceremony's results for any such purpose.

6. Identity verification, biometrics, and your consent

Identity verification is performed by Stripe, Inc. using Stripe Identity, on Stripe's own pages and under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Stripe collects images of your government ID and a live selfie and uses biometric identifiers (distinctive characteristics of your face) to compare the selfie to the ID photo. Stripe asks for your consent on its own pages before collecting this.

Your biometric consent is not part of these terms. Because the verification involves biometric processing, TraIDCred asks for it separately: before any verification session is created you are shown the full Biometric Information Notice — what is collected, by whom, for what specific purpose, and under what retention and destruction schedule (see the Biometric Information Policy) — and asked to execute your own affirmative written release, by electronic signature, on its own dedicated control. The exact notice text and your release are recorded immutably, and no Stripe Identity session for this ceremony can be created before that record exists.

If you prefer not to consent to biometric verification, do not proceed — you may decline (§2), or you may contact us at the address in §11 to ask whether a manual alternative is available for your situation. Choosing not to proceed leaves the request unresolved for the business; it has no consequence for you.

What TraIDCred receives is deliberately minimal: the verification result (verified or not) and your verified first and last name as read from your ID. TraIDCred does not receive or store your ID images, your selfie, your date of birth, your address, or your ID document numbers, and TraIDCred's systems hold no credential capable of retrieving them.

7. What TraIDCred records and how long it keeps it

If you proceed, TraIDCred records, and retains under its Data Retention Policy:

• the request, invitation, and their outcomes (including a decline, if you decline);
• your acceptance of these terms and the documents presented with them (version, timestamp,

and technical metadata such as IP address and browser identification — the evidence that makes an electronic acceptance provable);

• your verified first and last name and the verification result, held while the qualifier

relationship is asserted on a credential and for a limited period afterward;

• if you sign it, the final authorization: its exact text, your verified legal name, a

cryptographic fingerprint of the text, and the time of signing — kept as an immutable record.

Signature and consent evidence is retained even after revocation or a deletion request, to the extent reasonably necessary to prove what was authorized and to comply with law — deleting the proof that you consented would destroy the record that protects you as much as us.

8. The sign-in that is created

TraIDCred's identity records must belong to exactly one person permanently. To make that true for you, step 2 creates a minimal secure sign-in (your email address and a password you choose). It is not a customer account: it carries no business membership, no dashboard, no subscription, and no obligations. Its only purposes are to bind your verification and your authorization to you, to let you return to an unfinished ceremony, and to identify you if you later exercise the rights in §10.

9. Revocation

You may revoke your authorization prospectively at any time by contacting us at the address in §11. Revocation stops TraIDCred from continuing to treat the qualifier relationship as authorized from that point forward; it does not undo actions taken in reasonable reliance on the authorization before revocation, and the historical record of what you signed is retained (§7).

10. Your privacy rights

The Privacy Policy describes TraIDCred's data practices, including for people who hold no customer account. You may request access to or deletion of your information by emailing privacy@traidcred.com from the email address the request was sent to (we verify requests before acting on them; §7 describes what must be retained). Stripe holds its own copy of what you submit to Stripe — see the Identity Verification Notice for how to reach Stripe about it.

12. The boundary of what TraIDCred's verification means

TraIDCred is a private company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any licensing authority. It does not issue licenses, appoint qualifiers, grant legal authority, or determine anyone's legal status. TraIDCred's verification is a comparison of evidence available to TraIDCred as of a point in time — your verified identity, your authorization, the business's information, and the licensing authority's public record as recorded by TraIDCred's reviewers — under the published Verification Standard. Official verification of a license is available only from the licensing authority.

13. General terms

• Capacity. By proceeding you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able

to enter into this authorization.

• Electronic records. You consent to conduct this process electronically per the E-Sign

Consent presented with these terms; you may request a paper copy of what you signed at the §11 address, and a copy of the executed authorization is delivered to your email address.

• Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without

regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah.

• Entire instrument. These terms, the documents expressly presented with them at

acceptance, and the authorization you sign are the entire agreement for this ceremony. They deliberately contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.

• Changes. A materially changed version of these terms applies only to ceremonies begun

after it is posted; the version you accepted is recorded and never rewritten.
