Verification Program Terms

1. Purpose and role of these Terms

1.1 These Verification Program Terms ("Program Terms") explain what TraIDCred's verification program is, what a "Verified" status means and does not mean, and the responsibilities of Tradespeople and the expectations of Profile Viewers. They are incorporated into the Terms of Service and are binding on every Tradesperson who submits a Credential and on every Profile Viewer who relies on a Public Profile.

1.2 The authoritative, per–Credential Type definition of every verification-related term is the Verification Standard. If anything in these Program Terms could be read to say more than the Verification Standard, the Verification Standard controls and the narrower meaning applies.

2. What TraIDCred's verification is

2.1 A point-in-time, facial review. When a Tradesperson submits a Credential, a TraIDCred reviewer examines the submitted document and determines whether it appears to be the claimed Credential Type and appears facially valid and unexpired as of the date of Review (the "Last-Reviewed Date"). A status of "Verified" reflects only that determination, as of that date.

2.2 Manual review. As of the Effective Date, all Review is performed manually by Company personnel. TraIDCred does not use automated verification and does not independently confirm any Credential with the issuing authority, licensing board, insurer, certifying body, or any other third party, except where the Verification Standard for a specific Credential Type expressly states otherwise. The Verification Standard states otherwise in exactly two places: the Identity Verification described in §2.5, which concerns identity alone and is not a Credential of the business; and the Standard's _License Qualifier Verification_ section, under which a TraIDCred reviewer may transcribe the licensing authority's public lookup solely for an internal qualifier comparison — a process that is never displayed publicly and creates no public claim that any Credential was confirmed with any authority.

2.3 Verification Completion. "Verification Completion" is a display of a Tradesperson's progress through TraIDCred's verification process (how many required steps have been completed). It is a measure of process progress only. It is not a rating, ranking, score, grade, or measure of skill, quality, reliability, safety, or trustworthiness.

2.4 "Fully Verified." "Fully Verified" is a defined shorthand meaning only that a Tradesperson holds a Verified, unexpired Business License, General Liability Insurance, and Workers' Compensation Credential, as defined in the Verification Standard. It is not a statement that any other Credential is held and is not an endorsement, guarantee, or recommendation.

2.5 Identity Verification (Representative). A Tradesperson may designate a public Representative and have that individual's identity verified. Verification is performed by Stripe Identity, a third-party provider, which collects and holds the government photo identification and the verification selfie on its own pages. TraIDCred does not receive, store, or display those images. TraIDCred receives only the verification status, timestamps, the provider's error code, and — on success — the verified first and last name, which TraIDCred uses solely to determine whether it reasonably matches the Representative name on the Public Profile. That comparison is automated and is decided by TraIDCred personnel where the automated result is not clear-cut.

An "Identity Verified" indicator is displayed only where both the provider confirmed the individual's identity and TraIDCred determined the verified name reasonably matched the Representative named on the Public Profile. It is displayed together with a Representative photograph only where that photograph has additionally been reviewed and approved, has not been hidden by the Tradesperson, and the Public Profile is otherwise publicly eligible. If any of those conditions ceases to hold — including revocation or invalidation by the provider, or replacement of the Representative — the indicator and the Representative section cease to be displayed.

2.6 Representative photograph. The publicly displayed Representative photograph is supplied by the Tradesperson, not by the provider. TraIDCred reviews it only for suitability (that it plausibly depicts a single individual rather than a logo, vehicle, jobsite, group, stock image, or another person). That review is not an identity check, and TraIDCred performs no biometric or facial comparison between the photograph and the provider's identification or selfie images. The Tradesperson represents that it holds the rights necessary to upload the photograph, and TraIDCred may remove any photograph that is misleading, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate.

2.7 Identity Verification is not TraIDCred Verified. Identity Verification concerns the Representative's identity only. It is not a Credential of the business, does not contribute to the "Fully Verified" designation, and never causes a Public Profile to become TraIDCred Verified.

2.8 Replacement of a verified Representative. A verified Representative cannot be edited in place. Replacing one is treated as establishing an entirely new Representative: the prior Identity Verified status is revoked, the Representative section ceases to be displayed, the name determination is invalidated, and the new Representative must complete identity verification, a new name determination, and photograph approval before anything is displayed again. Verification is never transferred from one individual to another.

3. What a "Verified" status does NOT mean

3.1 A Verified status, Verification Completion percentage, Fully Verified designation, or Badge does not mean and must not be understood to mean any of the following:

(a) that TraIDCred guarantees, certifies, endorses, warrants, or recommends the Tradesperson or their work;

(b) that a license, certification, or policy is currently valid, active, or in force after the Last-Reviewed Date (Credentials can lapse, be revoked, be cancelled, or change at any time without notice to TraIDCred);

(c) that TraIDCred has confirmed the Credential's authenticity or standing with any issuing authority, board, insurer, or certifying body — TraIDCred does not contact any of them for any Credential Type;

(d) that the Tradesperson is skilled, competent, honest, safe, adequately insured, or suitable for any particular project;

(e) that insurance coverage is adequate, unexpired, free of exclusions, or applicable to any particular loss; or

(f) that TraIDCred has performed a background check, which as of the Effective Date is not yet available and is shown honestly as such; or

(g) where an Identity Verified indicator is shown, anything beyond what §2.5 states — in particular it does not mean that the publicly displayed representative photograph was compared, biometrically or otherwise, against the provider's identification or selfie images, that the representative will personally perform any or all of the work, that employees or subcontractors may not perform work, or that the Tradesperson is TraIDCred Verified.

3.2 TraIDCred does not guarantee. Consistent with its Legal Principles, TraIDCred verifies, reviews, confirms, records, timestamps, and displays information; it does not guarantee outcomes, future conduct, or the current status of any Credential.

4. Guidance for Profile Viewers and Homeowners

4.1 A Public Profile is an informational tool to assist your own decision-making. It is not a substitute for your own due diligence. Before hiring or contracting with any Tradesperson, you should independently confirm current licensing with the applicable state or local authority, confirm current insurance directly with the carrier, obtain your own written agreements, and take any other steps you consider appropriate.

4.2 Each Credential status is shown with a Last-Reviewed Date and, where applicable, a stated expiration date. Status reflects the document as of the Last-Reviewed Date only. TraIDCred does not monitor Credentials in real time and does not represent that any Credential remains valid after Review.

4.3 TraIDCred makes no representation or warranty regarding any Tradesperson and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, disclaims all liability arising from a Viewer's reliance on a Public Profile, subject to the limitations of liability in the Terms of Service.

5. Tradesperson responsibilities

5.1 A Tradesperson must submit only genuine, accurate, complete, and current Credentials that belong to and lawfully pertain to the Tradesperson's business, and must promptly update or replace any Credential that expires, is revoked, is cancelled, lapses, or becomes inaccurate.

5.2 A Tradesperson is solely responsible for the accuracy of its Content and for maintaining valid underlying licenses, insurance, and certifications. Submitting a Credential to TraIDCred does not satisfy, replace, or excuse any legal or contractual obligation the Tradesperson owes to any customer, authority, or third party.

5.3 Submission of forged, altered, expired-as-current, borrowed, or otherwise misleading Credentials is prohibited and is governed by the Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy and may result in Rejection, revocation of status, suspension, or termination under the Account Suspension & Termination Policy.

6. Review outcomes, re-verification, and changes

6.1 Outcomes. A submitted Credential may be marked Information Added, Under Review, Verified, Expired, or Rejected, each as defined in the Verification Standard. TraIDCred may decline to Verify, or may revoke a prior Verified status, in its reasonable discretion, including where a Credential appears invalid, illegible, expired, or inconsistent.

6.2 Re-verification. Re-verification is required upon expiration, replacement, or TraIDCred's request. TraIDCred may re-review any Credential at any time.

6.3 Rejected Credentials are private. Rejected Credentials and their contents are not displayed on the Public Profile.

6.4 Program changes. TraIDCred may change its verification methods and this program over time (including introducing automated or third-party confirmation). Any such change will be reflected first in the Verification Standard and then here, and material changes will be versioned and, where required, re-accepted under the Electronic Communications & E-Sign Consent and the Terms of Service.

7. No professional, licensing, or insurance advice

TraIDCred is not a licensing authority, government agency, insurer, insurance producer, employer, background-check provider, or referral service, and does not provide legal, insurance, or professional advice. The Services do not create any agency, partnership, employment, joint venture, or fiduciary relationship between TraIDCred and any User.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The disclaimers of warranties and limitations of liability in the Terms of Service apply fully to these Program Terms and are incorporated by reference. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services and all verification statuses are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.

9. Governing law

These Program Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and are subject to the governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions of the Terms of Service.
